“Learning is not compulsory… neither is survival.” ~ W. Edwards Deming

Over the years, I’ve seen this play out again and again. People rarely stop growing because they fail. They stop because they get comfortable.

Learning doesn’t disappear suddenly. It fades quietly, when curiosity gives way to certainty, when routine replaces reflection, and when “good enough” feels safe.

The cost of not learning shows up slowly… in relevance that slips, in perspectives that narrow, and in growth that quietly stalls.

Survival isn’t just about staying busy or staying employed. It’s about being adaptable, being open, and being willing to begin again.

Learning keeps you alive… to change, to possibility, to becoming the next version of yourself.

Life’s meaning lies in staying curious long after comfort sets in.
