Every Problem Is An Opportunity

Do you own a car? Do you live in a metropolitan city in India?

If you are nodding in the affirmative to both these questions, then you too are probably experiencing the peculiar challenge that car owners in Indian cities face. That of CLEANING your car!

The buzz on the roads of a “superpower in the making” country (read as dust and pollution) means that your car needs a shower every morning before you do. And every single car owner I know, hires someone to help with this daily chore.

So what’s the challenge? Well, getting a person to do this job in today’s India is more difficult than hiring a software engineer! And if you do manage to get one, then retaining the guy is even more difficult than retaining a software engineer!!! Believe me… I AM NOT KIDDING.

A fortnight ago, when my last car cleaning guy disappeared after a two-month stint, I finally saw a huge OPPORTUNITY in this problem. I decided to clean the car myself.

So what’s the opportunity? Well, never in my life have I ever managed to get into any kind of a fitness regime. Even when I did, I cannot remember it lasting for more than 3 days. So I now approach the car cleaning activity as my 30-minute workout routine every morning. As a result, I am thoroughly enjoying myself and having loads of fun. CLEAN fun, if I may add 😉

The result. My car hasn’t looked in better shape. Hopefully, in a few weeks from now, I can say that about myself too 🙂
