Like millions of Indians, I was glued to the screen last evening as India lifted the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026.

Wins like this are magical. The excitement, the celebrations, the collective sense of pride… it’s hard not to get carried away.

But what we saw on the field wasn’t just about the players who showed up for the final. It’s also about the systems working in the background… spotting talent early, nurturing young players, and preparing the next generation to step up when the time comes.

That’s how great teams sustain themselves.

Seniors and legends will eventually hang up their boots. But when the pipeline is strong, the mantle passes on smoothly.

And the journey continues.
